El presente trabajo de investigación intenta analizar la política tributaria de la Corona Española de finales del período colonial, tomando como estudio de caso la Gobernación de Cuenca. Consideramos pertinente remitirnos al final del período colonial por la importancia de las reformas borbónicas efectuadas en la administración tributaria y porque allí se sentaron las bases de la política tributaria que luego fue aplicada por los gobiernos republicanos, con las reformas propias de una sociedad que cambia y que fue lentamente encontrando el camino de las políticas redistributivas del ingreso causado por la tributación.
This research attempts to analyze the tax policy at the end of Spanish colonial period, taking as a case of study the “Gobernación de Cuenca”. We consider relevant to analyze only the end of the colonial period because these reforms that took place at that time were the base of the further policies applied by the Republican governments. These reforms had been applied in a changing society and they were slowly finding the path of the redistribution policies caused by taxation.
