Se trata en este artículo de presentar una crítica al uso técnico o instrumental del lenguaje, desde el punto de vista de la significación que éste porta como medio de expresión y comunicación en la construcción que hacemos de las palabras para producir el conocimiento de la realidad. La enseñanza y el aprendizaje que se debe generar en el uso interpretativo del lenguaje sólo es posible si se logra encarnar el lenguaje en prácticas lingüística que hacen viable su permanente transformación. Y, precisamente, esto puede ser posible a través de la metáfora y la metonimia. Es importante evitar la tecnologización de la palabra pues la recuperación del lenguaje como retórica es el proyecto que debe realizar cada persona para interactuar con los otros en las representaciones del mundo.
This article seeks to present a critique of the technical or instrumental use of language, from the viewpoint of the signification that this carries as a means for expression and communication in the construction people make of words to produce knowledge about reality. The teaching and learning that should be generated in the interpretive use of language are only possible if language can be incarnated in linguistic practices that make its permanent transformation viable. Precisely, this could be possible through metaphor and metanomy. It is important to avoid technologization of the word, since the recovery of language as rhetoric is the project that each person should carry out in order to interact with others in representing the world.
