Este artículo reseña las profundas transformaciones que provoca la extensión del monocultivo de soya transgénica no sólo en la pequeña agricultura campesina, sino también en el territorio, que se desertifica, en la concentración de los habitantes en las urbes y en la disminución de las actividades productoras de alimentos (como trigo, maíz, carne, verduras y frutas).
This article reviews the profound changes caused by the expansion of soy monoculture not only in the small farming, but also in the territory (which is object of desertification), the concentration of the population in the cities and the decline in food-producing (such as wheat, corn, meat, vegetables and fruits).
