Este trabajo se propone dotar de un marco teórico al análisis del proceso de transferencia tecnológica de la universidad hacia el sector productivo. Para ello, se analiza el concepto de innovación desde la teoría económica. Su estudio se lleva a cabo siguiendo el desarrollo de la llamada experiencia de la conciencia, concepto propuesto por Hegel (2007). Es por ello que cada teoría económica aparece en aquel momento del conocimiento en el cual centra su explicación. En segundo término, a partir del análisis de la innovación surgirá la necesidad de profundizar su vínculo con la universidad como espacio de producción de conocimiento científico que puede o no devenir en una innovación. Finalmente, se sostiene que el proceso de transferencia tecnológica es intrínseco al devenir del capitalismo en general, y al de la universidad en particular.
This paper aims to develop a theoretical framework for the technological transfer process, from university to the private sector. In order to do so, it analyses the innovation concept from the different economic theories. The study of this concept is done following Hegel’s (2007) experience of conscience concept. That is why each economic theory appears in the knowledge process where its explanation is developed. Secondly, from the innovation analysis it will raise the need to study the connection between innovation and university; as university is where scientific knowledge (which may or may not transform into an innovation) is acquired. Finally, this paper stands that technology transfer process is inherent to capitalism, in general, and to university, in particular.
