| dc.description | Este texto refiere a las complejas relaciones entre archivo, memoria e historia, tomando como motivo el anterior dossier de ĂŤconos dedicado a “(Re)pensar el archivo”. Antes que una crĂtica se trata de un comentario abierto, surgido a partir de su lectura. El propĂłsito es discutir algunas tendencias en la percepciĂłn de estas relaciones, dirigidas a: 1) asumir que existe un sola forma de hacer Historia y por ende una sola forma de relacionarse con el archivo; 2) no diferenciar tipos de archivos y, por tanto, no ver puntos de escape en relaciĂłn con el mal de archivo; 3) confundir Historia y memoria o, por el contrario, separarlas radicalmente sin buscar puntos de contacto entre ambas y 4) concebir la memoria Ăşnicamente en relaciĂłn con la HistoriografĂa (o con la AntropologĂa) sin prestar atenciĂłn a su vinculaciĂłn, muchas veces más dinámica, con campos como los del cine y el arte contemporáneo. | es_EC |
| dc.description | This text, which parts from the last issue of Íconos, “Rethinking the Archive,” addresses the complex relationship between history, memory and the archive. The text is not a criticism but rather a comment whose purpose is to discuss some of the tendencies in perceiving these relationships: 1) assuming there is only one way of producing history and thus only one way of relating to the archive 2) failing to differentiate one type of archive from another, thus failing to avoid the so-called archive fever 3) confusing history and memory, or rather separating one from another without finding commonalities between both 4) conceiving memory solely in relation to historiography (or anthropology) without acknowledging its role in fields such as film or contemporary art. | es_EC |
