dc.descriptionThe article determines the historical route of irrigation in Ecuador, the modalities of administration of the Tabacundo irrigation ditch and the beginning of the Cayambe Pedro-Moncayo Irrigation Project in the 20th century. The implications of the problematic management of the irrigation service in this territory are established, within the framework of changes in legislation and institutionality, and a national economy dependent on international markets.es_ES
