Este artigo explora a noção de testemunho midiático como uma figura de historicidade, em três movimentos reflexivos complementares. Primeiro, recuperam-se elementos importantes dos estudos acerca do testemunho midiático. A seguir, as noções de historicidade e de figura são revistas, de modo a articulálas ao testemunho midiático. Por fim, observam-se algumas relações importantes presentes nos usos do termo testemunho, para apreender, ao menos em parte, as suas implicações como um operador heurístico para os estudos comunicacionais.
This article explores the notion of media witnessing as a figure of historicity in three complementary reflexive movements. First, key elements of studies on media witnessing are recovered. Then, the concepts of historicity and figure are reviewed in order to articulate them with that of media testimony. Finally, we observe some important relations in the uses of the word testimony to apprehend, at least in part, its implications as heuristic operator in communication studies.
Este artículo explora la noción de testimonio mediático, como una figura de historicidad, en tres movimientos reflexivos complementarios. En primer lugar, se recuperan los elementos importantes de los estudios sobre el testimonio mediático. Luego, se revisan las nociones de historicidad y figura con el fin de articularlas a las de testimonio mediático. Por último, observamos algunas relaciones importantes presentes en los usos del término testimonio para aprehender, al menos en parte, sus implicaciones como operador heurístico de los estudios comunicacionales.
