Este trabajo al mostrar cuáles fueron las prácticas políticas y económicas de la diplomacia del dólar en Nicaragua, intenta esclarecer cómo este nuevo proyecto estadounidense pensado para modernizar de los estados latinoamericanos, resulto un proyecto feudal y antimoderno desde el punto de vista de la élite de ese país.
This article describes the political and economic practices that characterized the dollar diplomacy in Nicaragua. It illustrates how the novel U.S. economic project, intended to modernize the Latin American States, turned out to be a feudal, anti-modern project, from the point of view of Nicaraguan upper classes.
