Abstract
Description
This doctoral thesis seeks to understand the relationship between the educational policies implemented in Colombia from 2004 to 2018 and the educational experiences of displaced children. The exploration has been conducted from a sociological perspective and public policy analysis, with a central focus on the influence of government policies and the realities lived by these children. Against this backdrop, the theoretical and methodological framework provided by the discursive analysis of educational policies is utilized to examine three key objectives: the analysis of the educational policies under scrutiny, the understanding of the impact of these narratives and discourses within government policies on the experiences of displaced children, and the interpretation of the narratives and discourses that revolve around these children. The methodological approach combines documentary review and discourse analysis of public policies and official documents with qualitative work involving students and policy subjects. The study offers a profound view of how educational policies and power discourses have shaped the educational experiences of displaced children in Colombia, contributing insights for the development of future educational policies and practices that are more effective and pertinent to this population.
