Reflexionar sobre el papel de la energía en las sociedades contemporáneas conduce a una paradoja: por un lado, su producción y distribución permite a la humanidad realizar proezas, pero por el otro, al obtenerla y usarla devastamos la Tierra y generamos una gran cantidad desechos que van al aire, al agua, al suelo, precarizando el inestable equilibrio de las esferas donde se desenvuelve la vida. El objetivo de Letras Verdes es ofrecer diversas visiones sobre los temas y conflictos socioambientales en nuestra región. La energía es, sin duda, uno fundamental, y esperamos que esta edición contribuya al debate en torno a ella.
Reflect on the role of energy in contemporary society leads to a paradox: on the one hand, its production and distribution can perform feats of humanity, but on the other, to obtain and use Earth devastated and generate a lot waste go to air, water, land, precarious balance of the unstable areas where life unfolds. The goal is to offer green letters different views on issues and environmental conflicts in our region. Energy is undoubtedly a fundamental, and we hope this issue will contribute to the debate around it.
