Este artículo aborda la relación local-global en base a las propuestas del desarrollo local en el
medio rural. En un primer momento se realiza una crítica a la noción tradicional de desarrollo
basada en el crecimiento económico; luego, se discute la dinámica de los productores locales en
un espacio social ahora globalizado y sus posibilidades de inserción exitosa. En esta línea, a través
del análisis comparativo con la exitosa experiencia italiana, se analiza las limitaciones y
posibilidades de experiencias locales de desarrollo.
This article explores the local-global relation in the rural society based on the local development theories. In the first moment a critic of a traditional concept of development like as economic growth is achieved; then, the dynamic of the local workers in the globalized social space is recuperated as well as theirs economics possibilities of successful binding. In this way, some local experiences of development in the Ecuadorian case are analyzed in comparative method with the Italian successful experience.
