dc.descriptionEl objetivo de este texto es demostrar que, a pesar de las notables diferencias entre la sociología interpretativa, propuesta por Max Weber, y el positivismo empirista, encabezado por Émile Durkheim, ambas corrientes presentan algunos puntos en común. Con tal propósito, partimos de la ubicación biográfica y contextual de los autores, así como de las influencias teóricas y metodológicas que recibieron. A través de un análisis crítico de sus respectivos enfoques epistemológicos señalamos las marcas de sus profundas divergencias, pero también de sus sorprendentes coincidencias.es_EC
dc.descriptionThis text is aimed to prove that, even though there are remarkable differences between the interpretative sociology, proposed by Max Weber, and the positivist empiricism, leaded by Émile Durkheim, both schools of thought have some convergent points. In keeping with this purpose, we begin by the contextualization of the authors as well as their biographies. We will also consider the theoretical and methodological influences they received. Through the critical analysis of each of their epistemological approaches, we will shore not only their profound differences, but also their surprising coincidences.
