Description
La pandemia del VIH/SIDA se ha convertido en un reto para todas las poblaciones del mundo, debido al grave impacto que ésta genera, no solamente en el ámbito sanitario, sino también en las condiciones sociales, económicas y políticas de todos los países, especialmente de los más vulnerables, por el vínculo que presenta la pandemia con la pobreza y el subdesarrollo. Por este motivo, la comunidad internacional se ha organizado a partir del interés común de frenar el avance de la epidemia y mitigar sus impactos, lo cual ha permitido establecer una normatividad, principalmente de carácter voluntaria y de cooperación en torno a la problemática que genera el VIH/SIDA.
