Esta investigación apunta a intentar responder a las interrogantes que surgen en dos aspectos que son parte de la vida de las Maestras, las exigencias de la profesión y las demandas de trabajo doméstico y de cuidados en sus hogares. Se busca conocer cuáles son los orígenes de las exigencias, la importancia de las mismas para el subsistema de Primaria, así como los componentes del trabajo no remunerado. Se tendrán en cuenta aspectos relacionados a reglamentaciones, estadísticas oficiales de organismos del Estado y antecedentes de investigaciones similares en el contexto nacional e internacional. Los aspectos de género y sus implicancias en las concepciones acerca de lo que significa ser Maestra dentro del contexto de Uruguay cobrarán gran importancia en este estudio de cara al reconocimiento de las responsabilidades asumidas por estas personas. Este trabajo es una investigación cualitativa con un análisis documental de las resoluciones y reglamentos emitidos por el sistema educativo uruguayo, así como también de entrevistas a docentes de varias Escuelas del departamento de Salto. Se buscará conocer el impacto de las exigencias y su articulación con las desigualdades de género existentes en el país, específicamente dentro de la Educación Primaria en Uruguay.
This research aims to try to answer the questions that arise in two aspects that are part of the lives of Teachers, the demands of the profession and the demands of domestic work and care in their homes. The aim is to know the origins of the demands as well as their importance for the Primary subsystem as well as the components of unpaid work. Aspects related to regulations, official statistics from State agencies and background of similar investigations in the national and international context will be taken into account. The aspects of Gender and its implications in the conceptions about what it means to be a Teacher within the context of Uruguay will take on great importance in this study in order to recognize the responsibilities assumed by these people. This work is a qualitative investigation with a documentary analysis of the resolutions and regulations issued by the Uruguayan educational system as well as interviews with teachers from several schools in the department of Salto. We will seek to know the impact of the demands and their articulation with the existing Gender inequalities in the country, specifically within Primary Education in Uruguay.
