dc.descriptionEn el presente artículo se aborda la actitud de la sociedad civil y de los Estados latinoamericanos ante la guerra en Gaza. Se puede observar una acción unificada y transcontinental del movimiento latinoamericano de protesta y solidaridad con Palestina, que considera el conflicto bélico un genocidio, lo compara con el apartheid y con el colonialismo, y exige el reconocimiento de Palestina como Estado soberano. Dicho movimiento critica el comportamiento de los Gobiernos de derecha de la región, pero también el de los países de centroizquierda, a los que reclama una conducta más consistente, pues sorprende que tanto entre los primeros como entre los segundos existan actitudes contrapuestas frente a la guerra. Para situar el tema, el inicio del texto se dedica a las relaciones históricas, demográficas y políticas entre América Latina y Oriente Medio. The article highlights the attitude of civil society and Latin American states towards the Gaza war. One can observe a unified and transcontinental action of the Latin American protest and solidarity movement with Palestine, which describes the Gaza war as genocide, apartheid and colonialism and demands immediate negotiations and the recognition of Palestine as a sovereign state. The solidarity movement criticizes the behaviour of governments, particularly in right-wing countries in Latin America, but also in center-left countries, from which it demands more consistent behaviour. It is striking that right-wing and center-left countries in Latin America have opposite attitudes towards the Gaza war. The beginning of the article is devoted to the historical, demographic and political relations between Latin America and the Middle East.es_ES
