Resulta bastante difícil narrar todo lo sucedido desde los lejanos días en que apareció el primer número de PRAVDA (22 de abril de 1912). diario oficial de los bolcheviques, hasta la llegada del 10. de agosto de 1990, fecha en que entró en vigor en la Unión Soviética, la voluminosa ley sobre la prensa y otros medios informativos, adoptada por el Soviet Supremo de la URSS en medio de mucho sufrimiento y, sobre todo, tardanza.
