A partir de las variables propuestas por la técnica de análisis de contenido de MARPOR, este artículo analiza las posiciones manifestadas en los programas electorales de los partidos que presentaron candidatos a presidente de Brasil en las elecciones de 2006, 2010 y 2014. El análisis está dividido en tres partes: descripción de las posiciones de los partidos en el continuo derecha–izquierda, posiciones en índices de intervención del Estado en la economía y en relación con el bienestar social, y las posiciones de los partidos con respecto a temas como minorías, corrupción y democracia directa. Los resultados indican que entre 2006 y 2014 los partidos tendieron a un mayor Estado de bienestar y a menos regulación estatal de la economía, con variaciones entre PSDB y PT, los únicos que disputaron las tres elecciones.
Based on variables proposed by the MARPOR´s content analysis technique, this piece examines political parties´ positions presented for the Brazilian presidential elections that took place in the years 2006, 2010 and 2014. The analysis is divided into three parts: a description of the parties´ position in the continuum right–left, their positions on issues related to the state intervention in the economy and the welfare state, and parties´ position on other issues such as minorities, corruption and direct democracy. The results show that between 2006 and 2014 these parties tended to defend more welfare state and less state regulation of the economy, with variations between PSDB and PT, the only parties that disputed all these three presidential elections.
