Los flujos migratorios de menores centroamericanos hacia Estados Unidos se han incrementado notablemente. En respuesta, el gobierno norteamericano privilegia los centros de detención y la deportación.
Si bien hay corrientes de opinión y organizaciones que respaldan a los niños inmigrantes, se han incrementado los movimientos que rechazan a estos niños inmigrantes.
