Durante la década de los 90` en América Latina, las autoridades electas no han logrado reflejar la diversidad social de cada Estado, generando problemas no sólo en la representación descriptiva de los distintos grupos de la sociedad- en especial de mujeres, indígenas y jóvenes- sino también sustantiva. En esta investigación, se analiza el efecto que conlleva la reelección de las mujeres en el Congreso en la representación de los intereses femeninos, observando si la reelección de mujeres es un factor determinante o no para que los intereses y representación de las mujeres tengan cabida en el Congreso, por medio de las iniciativas de ley con perspectiva de género, presentadas por las legisladoras al interior del mismo.
During 90’s decade in Latin America, elected authorities have not achieved to reflect social diversity of each State, generating problems not only in descriptive representation of different groups of society- specially women, natives and young people- but also substantive representation. In this research, it is tried to analyze the effect that entails the reelection of the women in the Congress in the representation of the feminine interests, observing if the reelection of the women is a determinant factor or not for women interests and their representation to accommodate in Congress, by means of law initiatives with gender perspective presented by the legislators.
