Las predicciones acerca del futuro de los periódicos en el año 2.000 van desde afirmaciones tales como "En el año 2.000 no habrá periódicos", hasta "Los periódicos en el año 2.000 serán exactamente iguales a como son ahora". Como se verá en este artículo, me basaré en la segunda opinión que es la más optimista. En un mundo tan diverso como el nuestro, es imposible hablar acerca de los periódicos en general, sin hacer referencia a la situación geográfica y a las circunstancias.
