Este artículo presenta un análisis sobre la violencia económica y patrimonial desde una perspectiva interseccional, en el barrio El Kilombo de la ciudad de Esmeraldas, en Ecuador. A partir de un estudio antropológico e histórico, se analiza la violencia contra las mujeres afrodescendientes desde la articulación de clase, raza y género para mostrar cómo estos patrones interactúan entre sí, según las narrativas de las víctimas. Por un lado, la Ley Orgánica Integral para Prevenir y Erradicar la Violencia contra las Mujeres tipifica esta violencia como una medida preventiva.
This article presents an analysis on economic and patrimonial violence from an intersectional perspective, in the neighborhood “El Kilombo” of Esmeraldas city in Ecuador. It is an anthropological and historical analysis about violence against African descent women, interpreted from the articulation of class, race and gender categories. The article shows how these patterns interact with each other, according to the victims’ own narratives. On one hand, Ecuador’s Integral Organic Law to Prevent and Eradicate Violence against Women criminalizes this violence as a preventive measure.
