Este artículo examina las recientes dinámicas urbano-rurales presentes en Bogotá y Soacha. Nuevas categorías de análisis surgen para comprender las transformaciones contemporáneas tanto del medio urbano como del rural. En este artículo, la autora presenta una discusión conceptual acerca de los procesos de metropolización más recientes. Al tiempo que se revisan estas perspectivas teóricas, la autora presenta un análisis comparativo que muestra los cambios significativos tanto de las zonas urbanas como rurales en la búsqueda de la comprensión integral de las interrelaciones entre el campo y la ciudad.
This article examines recent urban-rural dynamics present in Bogotá and Soacha. New categories of analysis come up to comprehend contemporary transformations in the urban and the rural scenario. In this article, the author presents a conceptual discussion about the latest processes of metropolization. At the same time that these theoretical approaches are reviewed, the author presents a comparative analysis that shows significant changes of the urban and rural areas in seeking the integral understanding of the interrelations between the country and the city.
