Abstract
Description
Through post-1980s changes in capitalistic spatial order, many economic activities have been relocated according to the offer of subsidies and deregulations. While neoliberal rhetoric insists on the virtues of free-market, big corporations apply mainly in the extractive sector activities like the so-called “non-market” and “territorial governance” strategies which have grown in importance in Latin America. These processes favored the appearance of territorial tensions between big investment projects and communities with little integration to capitalistic circuits.
