Description
El propósito de este artículo es analizar la política de seguridad ciudadana y como se ha mantenido con una baja prioridad en la historia de las relaciones México-Estados Unidos en materia de seguridad fronteriza y en el contexto de la propuesta de la Iniciativa Mérida. Esta limitación no ha favorecido la reducción de la violencia y la inseguridad en la frontera norte de México.
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the citizen security policy and how it has maintained a low priority in the history of Mexico-United States and under the context of the Merida Initiative. This limitation has not favored the reduction of violence and insecurity in the northern border of Mexico.
