Arte popular, culturas populares, la parte dentro de los todos, componente acotado vulgarmente por unos, tergiversado por otros. Terreno árido, abono del planfleto y de paternalismos de distinto signo. Conceptualizaciones puramente negativas, autenticidad por oposición, establecimiento de escalas que hoy día resultan absurdas, indígenas primero, negroides luego, hispanos solo en un vergonzoso lugar. Esencialismo que a veces reivindica la pobreza y la carencia, obviando la riqueza. Justificada crítica a la transculturización colonial, que se hace vulnerable al negar obcecadamente el intercambio cultural, el inevitable sincretismo.
