| dc.description | El autor comenta las ideas más relevantes aparecidas en la compilación de textos sobre instituciones participativas y democráticas de Íconos 40. Después de lo cual, plantea algunas interrogantes para el análisis de dichas instituciones a nivel latinoamericano, en un contexto en que la noción de participación ciudadana –que surge de los movimientos sociales– ha sido apropiada por los actuales gobiernos de la región. Finalmente, se centra en el caso ecuatoriano, desde donde formula algunas preguntas y observaciones que invitan al desarrollo de nuevos análisis. | es_EC |

He then poses a number of questions for an analysis of said institutions at the continental level, in a context in which the notion of citizen participation –emerging from social movements– has been appropriated by current governments in the region.
