Description
Existe una emergente literatura sobre intelectuales indígenas en América Latina. Esta literatura se esfuerza por establecer diálogos entre la producción sobre y de indígenas y el contexto político y cultural (Ibarra, 1999); por definir quiénes son esta “elite ilustrada” y el papel de la educación estatal en su formación (Flores, 2012); por establecer sus relaciones con la política de la reciente revitalización étnica (Warren, 1998; Guerrero, 2000) así como con la política académica en particular (Bello, 2004), frente a lo cual varios de ellos buscan de-colonizar el conocimiento y propender a un diálogo intercultural (Rapapport, ; Walsh, Matos, 2002 entre otros).
