Es necesario formar a los ciudadanos ante la influencia de los medios de comunicación, especialmente en lo referente a la agenda setting, proponiendo la incorporación de la competencia mediática en el curriculum escolar. Lograrlo requiere realizar un esfuerzo por una formación de calidad que garantice el acceso libre, crítico y responsable a la información. Se presenta un análisis de la situación de la agenda setting en Ecuador y una propuesta de educación en medios, desde un enfoque educomunicativo.
É necessário formar os cidadãos diante da influência dos meios de comunicação, especialmente no que se refere ao agendamento, propondo a incorporação da competência midiática no currículo escolar. Conseguir esse objetivo requer um esforço por uma formação de qualidade que garanta o acesso livre, crítico e responsável à informação. É apresentada também uma análise da situação do agendamento no Equador, além de uma proposta de educação em meios de comunicação, a partir de um enfoque educomunicativo.
It is neccesary to train citizens before the influence of the media, especially with regard to agenda setting, proposing the incorporation of media literacy in the school curriculum. Achieving this requires an effort to make quality training to ensure free, critical and responsible access to information. An analysis of the situation in Ecuador agenda setting and media education proposal is presented from a educommunicative approach.
