Se puede decir que los significados en disputa sobre el concepto de género giran en tomo a la definición de cuál es el sujeto que se busca interpelar: la Mujer, las mujeres, las mujeres y los hombres, o ningún sujeto unificado en especial. La trayectoria del concepto revela tres formas de constitución de un sujeto: el género como sujeto unificado, como sujeto construído y como sujeto de-construido.
