dc.descriptionLa presente investigación analiza la relación bidireccional entre el gasto público y el crecimiento económico en las provincias del Ecuador durante el período 2007-2017. Para ello, se aplicó el método de vectores autorregresivos en datos de panel (PVAR) con efectos fijos, donde las propiedades de las series temporales son desconocidas a priori y pueden presentar raíces unitarias y relación de cointegración. Los resultados confirman la doble causalidad entre ambas variables en el largo plazo. Las variables remesas y tamaño de la provincia afectan positivamente a las dos variables, mientras que la población no muestra un impacto significativo.es_ES
dc.descriptionThis research analyzes the bidirectional relationship between public spending and economic growth in the provinces of Ecuador during the period 2007-2017. For this, the method of autoregressive vectors in panel data (PVAR) with fixed effects was applied, where the properties of the time series are unknown a priori and can present unit roots and cointegration relationship. The results confirm the double causality between both variables in the long term. The variables of remittances and the size of the province positively affect the two variables, while the population does not show a significant impact.es_ES
