Este artículo, enmarcado en la antropología del riesgo y los desastres, recupera el registro etnográfico realizado en la región norpatagónica de Sauzal Bonito, que conforma la cuenca Neuquina, donde se encuentra el conjunto de formaciones hidrocarburíferas no convencionales de Vaca Muerta. La población local está expuesta a la amenaza sísmica provocada por la actividad de fractura hidráulica no convencional o fracking
Our problematization is framed within the anthropology of risk and disasters, recovering the ethnographic record made in the North Patagonian region, Sauzal Bonito, which forms the Neuquina Basin where the unconventional set of hydrocarbon formations, Vaca Muerta, is found. Throughout the work, on the one hand, different indications were identified by the local population where it is argued that they are exposed to the seismic threat caused by the non-conventional hydraulic fracturing activity, fracking.
