Se expone el desarrollo de la crisis planetaria que, desde la crítica de la economía política, ha sido caracterizada como crisis de erosión, de escasez, crisis epocal o civilizatoria. El argumento se organiza en tres apartados: en el primero se reflexiona sobre el carácter transhistórico del metabolismo entre sociedad y naturaleza; en el segundo se abordan las líneas de desarrollo de la fractura metabólica bajo el modo de producción capitalista, y cómo aquella se manifiesta en tanto devastación socioambiental. En el tercer apartado se aportan evidencias de dicha fractura a escala global, y se sostiene la tesis de la relación entre aquella y la emergencia de la era del Antropoceno.
In this article we describe, from the critique of political economy perspective, the development of a planetary crisis as a crisis of erosion, scarcity, also epochal or civilizatory. The argument is developed in three sections: the first one exposes the transhistorical character of the metabolism between society and nature. The second one addresses the development of a metabolic rift under the capitalist mode of production, and its manifestations as social and environmental devastation. In the third section, we present evidence of a metabolic rift at a global scale and argue for the emergence of Anthropocene era.
