Description
Los países industrializados en general han incurrido en crecientes déficit fiscales en el transcurso de los años noventa, pasando de representar el1.2% de su PIB en 1989 al 4% en 1994. Esta situación contrasta con la drástica austeridad en el gasto público aplicada en los países de América Latina, buscando alcanzar superávit fiscales dentro de los programas de ajuste aplicados en el marco de los acuerdos con el FMI.
