En el texto se reseñan los ensayos realizados por cada uno de los colaboradores en este dossier; al mismo tiempo se plantea una serie de preguntas sobre las condiciones de posibilidad, el carácter y las líneas de investigación de la Antropología visual que se produce en América Latina. Finalmente, se invita a una reflexión sobre la función social que la disciplina puede tener en un contexto periférico y particular como es el latinoamericano.es_EC
