Esta ponencia comenta la propuesta de Townsend del Ingreso Infantil Universal como respuesta al estremecedor escenario generado por la pobreza infantil internacional contemporánea, además subraya las mejores contribuciones contenidas en el Manifi esto Internacional de Acción contra la Pobreza, que suscriben Peter Townsend y David Gordon en 2002.
