"Un compañero mío va, de vez en cuando, a Estados Unidos y cuando regresa siempre viene con novedades -el último grito de la moda que a la semana siguiente ya es el penúltimo-en materia de equipos para la producción/edición de video. Los grandes "trusts" del capital transnacional y que, evidentemente, pasa por el siempre más poderoso yen nipónico, hace mucho se dieron cuenta del inmenso mercado que se abría y el magnífico retorno económico que ofrecía este último hijo del "séptimo arte" .que muchos cineastas "puros" todavía consideran como el "primo pobre", el patito feo que deshonra la familia del sublime arte de la imagen en movimiento. Pero dejémosle ese debate a los historiadores de turno, recordando que muchas veces en la historia, la historia sigue por otros senderos..."
