En un contexto como el ecuatoriano de “hambre de pan y horizontes”, la emigración hacia el exterior se plantea como una opción válida, máxime cuando los medios de comunicación proyectan imágenes de un primer mundo opulento y con futuro, y las noticias de los familiares y amigos que han emigrado al exterior contribuyen, en muchos casos, a alimentar esa ilusión.
