A partir de un conjunto de 14 empresas pertenecientes al cluster de software de Guadalajara, se explican procesos de innovación y eficiencia colectiva. Los hallazgos de la investigación muestran actividades de innovación mediante diferentes estrategias y el despliegue de capacidades tecnológicas y organizacionales en función de las cuales se explican vertientes de innovación de las empresas (adaptación a modelos de negocio de firmas con presencia global; certificación en estándares de ingeniería de software; desarrollo de capacidades mediante la acción conjunta; apoyo a partir de la política pública). Se verifican, asimismo, formas diferentes de desplegar acciones conjuntas con diferentes actores sectoriales (clientes, proveedores, otras empresas del sector, el gobierno e instituciones educativas), y con diferentes finalidades (mejorar condiciones comerciales o acrecentar el conocimiento).
The information of 14 small enterprises located in the Guadalajara´s software cluster is used to explain process of innovation the activities and decisions taken by enterprises in order to create a software supply and colective efficiency the construction of a regional and sectoral space that promotes innovation. The findings of this research show different activities of innovation based on both particular strategies and the deployment of technological and organisational capabilities, which explain different ways firms use to innovate (adaptation to dominant design models; standarization and certification of software engineering process; development of capabilities by mean of joint action; the policy support). Are observed different ways of making joint action with different sectoral actors (customers, suppliers, other software firms, government, universities), and different objectives (to improve comercial activities or to increase the firm´s knowledge)
