El presente trabajo analiza el fenómeno de la trata de personas, enfocándose principalmente en las particularidades del caso argentino. Nuestro análisis comienza con una descripción teórica de los principales factores involucrados en esta actividad criminal. Fundamentalmente se plantea una diferencia entre factores necesarios y factores propiciadores del desarrollo, expansión y profundización del fenómeno. Este marco teórico funciona de soporte al análisis que realizamos sobre el caso argentino. La segunda parte dedicada a la trata en Argentina estará presidida por un repaso histórico y normativo, ofreciendo un marco de referencia para las posteriores indagaciones en las características de este delito que se ha convertido en una amenaza para los Estados y las sociedades.
In this article we will analyze the phenomenon of Trafficking in Persons, highlighting the char¬acteristics of the argentinian case. The analysis begins with a theoretical description of the main factors involved in this criminal activity. We pose the difference between the necessary and the propitiatory factors that enforces the development, expansion and deepening of this phenom¬enon. This theoretical framework supports our analysis about the argentinian case. The second part of the article focus on Trafficking in Persons in Argentina and will perform a historical and legal overview, offering a reference framework for subsequent investigations on the characteris¬tics of this crime that has become a threat to states and societies.
