En este artículo se trata de integrar, a la vez, un análisis de la coyuntura con un análisis de proceso,
a la luz de los recientes cambios políticos en Ecuador. La hipótesis básica acerca del momento
actual es que está operando el nacimiento de una nueva clase política y se está produciendo
el reemplazo de la vieja elite política.
This article attempts to integrate an analysis of the current political conjuncture with an analysis of current Ecuadorian political process, in light of recent political changes in the country. The basic thesis is that we are witnessing the birth of a new political class that is, or will be, replacing the old political elite.
