Hace veinte años, cuando nos despedíamos para siempre de nuestra juventud, nos fue dable publicar, bajo el título de La familia de Santa Teresa en América y la primera carmelita americana (1), nim obrita, que a poco andar encontró el favor, no sólo de gente religiosa y piadosa, sino aún de literatos historiadores que se interesan por las cosas de América.
