La trata de personas supone una grave violación de los derechos humanos al poner a unas personas en relación de servidumbre o esclavitud respecto a otras, con el fin de su explotación sexual, laboral, practicas análogas a la esclavitud o servidumbre, o la extracción de órganos. Aunque la lucha contra esta problemática social es asunto de agenda política en Argentina desde hace ya algunos años, y ha sido promovida por organismos nacionales e internacionales, poco se ha estudiado sobre el papel que las organizaciones de la sociedad civil están jugando en este campo. Con todo, se reconoce la necesidad de intervenciones multidisciplinares y multiactoriales.
Un número importante de organizaciones sociales, en nuestro país, trabajan contra la trata. Una de esas organizaciones es la Red Infancia Robada. Este trabajo está orientado al estudio de caso de las representaciones sociales y prácticas de Infancia Robada sobre la trata de personas, desde los inicios de la Red (2008-2015). Se busca, generar una mayor comprensión sobre las representaciones y prácticas de similares organizaciones de la sociedad civil y esbozar algunas claves de comprensión sobre los procesos que, durante estos últimos años, han guiado la lucha contra la trata en Argentina.
