Esta investigación problematiza los procesos de reconstrucción de memoria, a partir de los objetos y fotografías de los desaparecidos en Quito, en dos casos específicos: el de David Romo y el de Orlando Pacheco. Alexandra Córdova y Telmo Pacheco, madre y padre respectivamente, de los dos jóvenes desaparecidos, se han convertido en activistas que buscan la visibilización de esta problemática social que afecta a la sociedad civil. Este tema es relevante para la Antropología Visual porque se analizan los vínculos entre cultura material y relaciones sociales. A través de la indagación se exploran dos campos de discusión: el de los usos sociales de la fotografía y el de la vida social de los objetos.
