La Coordinadora Nacional de Radio del Perú (CNR), construye transmisores que se adecuan a las necesidades de diferentes sectores de la población. Este artículo presenta recomendaciones y responde a algunas interrogantes sobre la instalación de una radio comunitaria FM de baja potencia, pero de amplísimas posibilidades educativas y de servicio. La capital del folklore peruano es Puno. En este departamento funciona una de las radios más altas del mundo, ubicada en la comunidad de Macusani, a unos cinco mil metros de altura, perteneciente a la provincia de Carabaya. Para llegar a esta comunidad desde Puno se necesitan entre 10 Y 12 horas. Claro que si las nevadas, el granizo y las lluvias están de mal humor, el viaje podría durar unos tres días.
