La necesidad de comprobación de la dimensión izquierda-derecha encuentra especial atención en su capacidad de absorción de los conflictos específicos de competencia en los sistemas de partidos latinoamericanos. La investigación hace lo propio a partir del análisis del caso mexicano sobre los datos proporcionados por el Party Manifesto Project (Manifesto Research on Political Representation: MARPOR). Con lo cual, se identifica el contenido que estructura la competencia política, permitiendo determinar la persistencia y cambios de las divisiones o líneas principales de conflicto en el país. En este sentido, el análisis pretende arrojar información sobre las especificidades institucionales y las divisiones políticas (clivajes) del sistema de partidos mexicano desde 1946-2012.The need to verify the left-right dimension in presidential contexts finds special attention in its ability to absorb specific competition conflicts in the Latin American party system. The investigation does the same from the analysis of the Mexican case on the data provided by the Party Manifesto Project (Manifesto Research on Political Representation: MARPOR). This requires the identification of programmatic issues within the political competition that determine the persistence and change of divisions or main lines of conflict in the country. In this sense, the analysis aims to provide information on the institutional specificities and political divisions (cleavages) of the Mexican party system since 1946-2012.
