En este artículo se abordan las tensiones en los marcos normativos que regulan la vida y el derecho a la educación de las personas privadas de libertad y su distancia respecto a las extremas condiciones de vida en las cárceles de Buenos Aires. En particular, se analiza el valor otorgado al concepto de buena conducta, sostenido en la Ley 24.660/96 de Ejecución de la Pena Privativa de la Libertad, para reflexionar sobre el tratamiento penitenciario y sus tensiones, mediante el abordaje etnográfico de un taller de alfabetización realizado en el año 2017 en la Unidad Penitenciaria 47.In this article I am interested in exposing the tensions that exist in the normative frameworks that regulate the life and right to education of prisoners and their distance from the extreme living conditions of Buenos Aires prisons. I will analyze the value given to the concept of good conduct upheld in Law 24.660 / 96 to advance prison treatment and its tensions through an ethnographic approach of a literacy workshop held in 2017 in Penitentiary Unit 47.
