Esta tesis presenta una investigación que tuvo por objetivo responder los siguientes interrogantes ¿Cuáles son las prácticas sociales discriminatorias que se identifican en la Facultad de Arquitectura, Diseño y Urbanismo de la Universidad de Buenos Aires? ¿Cuáles son los fundamentos para estas prácticas? ¿Qué estereotipos discriminatorios fundados en el género se reproducen por medio de estas prácticas? ¿Qué estereotipos discriminatorios fundados en la formación profesional se reproducen por medio de estas prácticas? ¿Cómo se relacionan estos estos estereotipos discriminatorios entre sí y con las prácticas sociales discriminatorias?. Dicha investigación buscó comprender las lógicas que subyacen en las
práctica sociales discriminatorias que tienen por escenario un espacio académico compuesto por siete carreras de muy diversa naturaleza, vinculadas por una misma concepción sobre el diseño, pero atravesadas por múltiples diferencias. Las prácticas sociales discriminatorias fundadas en género y formación de grado conforman el núcleo duro de este trabajo, comprender las lógicas de esta construcción ideologizada de la diferencia su objetivo principal.
