La propuesta de la presente tesis es analizar las dificultades que las mujeres inmigrantes indígenas bolivianas enfrentan debido a la violencia doméstica que sufren en manos de sus compañeros, identificar si el Estado a través de sus redes de protección se encuentra preparado para acogerlas y protegerlas, y en los casos que correspondan punir al agresor. Este estudio tiene como base la entrevista a 20 mujeres inmigrantes bolivianas que viven en la ciudad de São Paulo y que fueron víctimas de violencia doméstica por parte de sus compañeros, las dificultades que ellas tuvieron para romper el círculo de violencia, las dificultades para realizar la denuncia ante las autoridades y el acceso a la justicia. ¿Realmente el Estado a través de sus redes de protección está preparado para prevenir y proteger los derechos de estas mujeres?
