Esta tesis, realizada como instancia final de la Maestría en Relaciones Internacionales de la FLACSO -Argentina, se propone estudiar una arista sub-explorada dentro del campo de estudio de la política exterior en las Relaciones Internacionales: la ejecución de política exterior del Banco Central de la República Argentina (BCRA). Para la investigación, se utilizó la metodología de estudio de casos para ejemplificar con ella distintos casos de cooperación internacional que el BCRA despliega, aquí entendidas como dimensiones de la política exterior. A saber, cooperación técnica (relación del BCRA con el Financial Stability Board), cooperación monetaria (Convenio del SML con el Banco Central de Brasil) y cooperación financiera (Swap con el Banco Popular de China). Se intentará demostrar que la sensibilidad política de la agenda sobre la que se coopere incide directamente en el grado de autonomía que posee el BCRA para el despliegue de su política exterior. Luego de un estudio pormenorizado de los aspectos técnicos y particularidades de cada caso, se arribará a la conclusión de que ante menor sensibilidad política del tema sobre el que se coopere, mayor será la autonomía del BCRA para desarrollar y ejecutar su política exterior.
