La presente investigación trata de la revisión y el análisis de los manuales de Historia de la Educación Media en Secundaria (Reformulación 2006) en Uruguay. A partir de algunas preguntas-problemas que guiaron la investigación, se analizó desde una perspectiva de género y de Estudios Subalternos, buscando identificar la reproducción de patrones patriarcales o eurocéntricos. Esta investigación partió de la premisa de que la violencia se reproduce desde el currículum oculto y desde los manuales. A través del análisis cuantitativo de la iconografía, y de forma transversal, se determinaron sus sesgos androcéntricos, estando las mujeres menos represadas. El análisis cualitativo permitió, por un lado, establecer la reproducción de roles de género patriarcales y sexistas y, por otro lado, desde los Estudios Subalternos, establecer qué Historia se enseña desde una mirada decolonial. Ello fue posible analizando las actividades, los recursos y la historiografía. Para la realización de la tesis se empleó el análisis manualístico a partir del trabajo de Escolano (1997) y el análisis iconográfico desde la metodología de Panofsky (1979), Burke (2005) y Pollock (2013), y para género y decolonialidad se utilizó a Lugones (2008), Rivera Cusicanqui y Barragán (2007) y Dussell (2007). Se concluye que, a pesar de que incluyen a las mujeres en los manuales, son “ciegos al género” y merecen ser revisados en clave decoloniales.The present investigation offers a review and analysis of the schoolbooks of History (Middle School Level - Reformulación 2006) in the Secondary Education system in Uruguay. Based on some key problems that oriented the research, the discussion was analyzed from a gender and Subaltern Studies perspective, seeking to identify the reproduction of patriarchal and/or Eurocentric patterns in the texts. This investigation assumed the premise that violence is reproduced from the hidden curriculum and from manuals. Through the quantitative analysis of the iconography, and in a transversal standpoint, its androcentric biases were determined, with women being less represented. The qualitative analysis allowed, on the one hand, to establish the reproduction of patriarchal and sexist gender roles and, on the other hand, from Subaltern Studies, to establish what History is taught from a decolonial perspective. This was possible by analyzing the activities, resources and historiography. The textual analysis was used from the work of Escolano (1997) and the iconographic analysis from the methodology of Panofsky (1979), Burke (2005) and Pollock (2013), and for gender and decoloniality it was used Lugones (2008), Rivera Cusicanqui and Barragán (2007) and Dussell (2007). It is concluded that, despite the fact that they include women in the manuals, those texts are "blind to gender" and merit to be reviewed in a decolonial perspective.
